Suraj, from Rasulabad village, Ayodhya, struggled with direction after enrolling in an ITI in Jaunpur. After brief stints working in Kerala and Surat, he returned home uncertain about his future. When his cousin encouraged him to join Pakka Skills in 2023, Suraj saw it as a second chance.
His dedication during internships at Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute and Pakka Limited was impressive. In fact, in 2024, Pakka offered him a contract role where he could work while continuing his training.
“Getting to work at Pakka is the best thing in my life,” Suraj shares with pride. From drifting between jobs to becoming a confident, skilled worker, Suraj has shaped his future through hands-on training and determination.

When Rakhi – a married woman from a small village in Ayodhya – completed her vocational course at Pakka Skills, she secured a prestigious campus placement at Tata Electronics, Bangalore. However, it felt like a big leap, and initial doubts led her and fellow female students to return home after just two months – citing adjustment issues and homesickness.
What happened next was remarkable. Realizing the value of their opportunity – financial independence, security, and a promising future – Rakhi and her peers decided to return to Bangalore with renewed determination and constant support from the Pakka Skills team.
“मैं हॉस्टल में रहती हूँ, फैक्ट्री से बस आती है – यहाँ बहुत सुरक्षा है। एक अच्छी बात ये भी है कि अब यहाँ की भाषा और नया कल्चर भी देखने को मिल रहा है,” she shares. Like Rakhi, 18 female students were placed at Tata Electronics in 2024.
"Project-based learning helped me clear job exams."
Rajneesh, coming from a village in Sultanpur district, enrolled in Pakka Skill’s Fitter course after class 12th. Despite the pandemic, he stayed on track through digital learning. During an internship at Pakka Limited, seeing large industrial machines sparked his passion for technical work.
His dedication paid off. First, he qualified for the Craftsman Instructor Course from Kanpur. Then, he was selected to work at GRSE in the defense sector. And finally, late in 2024, he cleared the competitive exam for BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre) – a prestigious research institution in Mumbai.
Like Rajneesh, 7 students from Pakka Skills have qualified for various government exams in the last 4 years, crediting hands-on training and industry-linked learning for their success.

It was when Tinku moved from Bihar to Ayodhya, that he first heard about Pakka Skills. Motivated to learn something new, he joined the Paper and Pulp course in 2021. Mentorship and hands-on training with machines gave him confidence, while sports activities like volleyball and cricket improved his teamwork and communication skills.
After training, Tinku secured a campus placement at Kuantum Paper in Punjab with a salary of ₹12,000. His journey took him across India – from Telangana to Tamil Nadu, and now he works as Shift In-charge at Sunmarc Paper Industry in Nagpur, Maharashtra, earning ₹42,000 – a significant jump in income.
Tinku has clear aspirations for his future, “I want to keep learning and growing within the paper and pulp industry. I find it fulfilling, and I see a lot of opportunities ahead.”
